Brownback/Winn Campaign Recap:
Kansas Governor Sam Brownback won his primary election against challenger Jennifer Winn.
The incumbent governor beat Winn Tuesday 63.6% to 36.7%. Still, it was a close race in many Kansas counties. Winn picked up over 40% of the vote in 27 of Kansas 105 counties.
In Pratt County, Winn won 49.4% of the vote to Brownback's 50.6%. In Douglas County, Brownback won by just 86 voted 50.7% to 49.3%
Governor Brownback will face Democrat Paul Davis in the November general election. Speaking to reporters Tuesday night, Brownback says the election will come down to issues and his record as governor, which he says includes growing the state's economy, improving education and fixing the state pension fund.
