Taylor Swift recently received a heartfelt thank-you from her longtime friend, Abigail Anderson, the young woman who became familiar to Taylor fans thanks to a line from the 2009 hit, "Fifteen." ("Abigail gave everything she had to a boy who changed his mind / And we both cried.")

Taylor wrote the song when the pair were in their freshman year in high school, just north of Nashville. Abigail's thank-you was in response to a handcrafted present the singer-songwriter sent to her for her 24th birthday. The grateful friend posted the framed, hand-painted note on Instagram Sunday (April 6). The note reads: "Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Abigail, whose spirit was as fiery as her hair. She never did anything the way they told her to, fell hopelessly in love, and turned 24 without one single regret. Happy Birthday. Love, Taylor."

Abigail's sweet response: "Words cannot describe how grateful I am for your friendship (and the absolutely breathtaking package of presents I just received). You truly are the most wonderful human being. From the bottom of my heart...thank you @taylorswift I love you."

We can't help but wonder what else that "breathtaking package" contained, but it's safe to say the real treasure here is a long-lasting friendship.
