The woman known as the "Burger King Baby" has found her mom.
Just three weeks ago, 27-year-Katheryn Deprill launched a search on social media to find her mother.
On Sept. 15, 1986, Deprill was found as a newborn in the bathroom of a Burger King in Pennsylvania. She was left there just hours after she was born.
The married mother of three finally decided that if was time to find her birth mom and she turned to Facebook.
A photo detailing her search was shared more than 30,000 times by Facebook users around the world and caught the attention of the media. And that caught the attention of the woman who abandoned her.
The two women met on Monday for the first time inside the office of a lawyer the birth mother had contacted for help.
The birth mother is not being identified and Deprill does not want to talk about the meeting on camera.
The lawyer says that Deprill was born after the mother was raped at the age of 16 while traveling abroad. The young girl hid the pregnancy from her parents and gave birth in her bedroom. She left the baby at Burger King because she was afraid to go to the hospital.
Deprill did say that she and her birth mother plan to stay in touch and work on a relationship.
