NORMAN (KFAQ) - Some of the members of the University of Oklahoma's marching band the 'Pride of Oklahoma' have refused to practice saying they are embarrassed.
Those protesting included nearly the entire tuba section. They say they are upset with the band's new director, Justin Stolarik and want new leadership.
During last weekend's game against Tulsa, band members handed out fliers asking fans not to cheer for the band when they took the field.
The band members say their drills are outdated and they are embarrassed. Stolarik, who replaced Brian Britt as band director in the summer, says he realizes change is difficult.
