Officer accused in killing released on bond
TULSA, Okla. (AP) An off-duty Tulsa police officer accused of being an accessory to murder in the shooting of her daughter's boyfriend has been released on $25,000 bond.
KJRH reports First Assistant District Attorney Doug Drummond says Gina Kepler is not considered a flight risk or public safety concern.
Jeremy Lake was shot to death Tuesday. Gina Kepler and her husband, Shannon, were arrested not long after in connection with the killing.
Police say Shannon Kepler shot the 19-year-old Lake after an argument. Lake had been walking with the Keplers' daughter.
Shannon Kepler is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder. Kepler's attorney says he should qualify for release.
The Keplers are expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, more than 150 people gathered Thursday for a candlelight vigil for Lake.
