Motorcyclist dies after police chase
RUSH SPRINGS, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say a driver died after crashing a motorcycle during a police chase in southern Oklahoma.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened late Monday on U.S. 81 in Grady County. The highway patrol says a Rush Springs police officer tried to pull over a motorcycle that was speeding on the highway.
Authorities say the driver didn't stop and crashed after failing to negotiate a curve. Authorities say the driver was thrown about 85 feet from the motorcycle.
The highway patrol says the driver was pronounced dead at a hospital from massive head and internal injuries.
The driver's name has not yet been released.
