4 die in 2 separate Oklahoma traffic crashes
EUFAULA, Okla. (AP) Two people riding an all-terrain vehicle died when they collided with a pickup truck near Eufaula and two other people were killed in a separate crash near Sallisaw.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Sunday that Eufaula residents Cody Gray and Josh Laughlin, both 20 years old, died in the 11:15 p.m. crash Saturday in McIntosh County. Officials say a pickup truck was passing a vehicle on a county road in a passing zone when it collided head-on with the ATV, which had no lights operating.
Two people from Sallisaw were killed in a roll-over crash on Interstate 40 on Saturday evening. The Highway Patrol says 55-year-old Betty Gene Poindexter and 55-year-old Ira Poindexter died when their westbound vehicle left the road east of Sallisaw. Two other people were injured.
