BLACKWELL, Okla. (AP) - Kay County prosecutors have filed a first-degree murder charge and issued an arrest warrant for a suspect in the stabbing death of a former Blackwell police officer.

Online court records show 29-year-old Luis Octavio Frias is wanted for the death of 29-year-old Janett Reyna.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says Reyna was found stabbed to death Thursday morning insider her apartment in Blackwell. Court documents show that Reyna had filed for and received a victim protection order against Frias on Tuesday.

OSBI spokeswoman Jessica Brown says Frias and Reyna have three children together who are now in state custody and are not allowed to see any family members until Frias is in custody.

Brown says Reyna was a Blackwell police officer for less than a year in 2008.
