Interstate 35 cleanup continues after semi crash
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says commuters should expect reduced lanes and closures northbound on Interstate 35 following a tractor-trailer crash in north Norman.
The department says I-35 will be narrowed to one lane northbound overnight. Both lanes will be open 6 to 9 a.m. Thursday for the morning commute but will revert to one lane from 9 a.m. and noon to allow for road repairs.
Earlier, OHP Trooper Betsy Randolph said no injuries had been reported in the crash. Norman Police Capt. Tom Easley says homes within a half-mile radius were evacuated as a precaution.
Randolph and Easley did not know how many homes were evacuated and referred other questions to Norman fire officials who did not immediately return phone calls seeking comment.
