TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (AP) - Authorities in Tahlequah say the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash has turned herself into police.

Police say the fatal crash happened early Sunday when two boys were walking along the State Highway 51 bypass. Police Chief Nate King says one boy was killed while the other boy was injured.

The Tahlequah Daily Press reports that the driver involved in the crash is a juvenile. Police say the girl turned herself into police Sunday afternoon.

Police say the boys were walking home at about 4 a.m. Sunday from a nearby Walmart. Police say the boys stopped to rest and were either kneeling or lying on the roadway when they were struck by the vehicle.

Police say prosecutors will decide whether any charges should be filed against the driver.
