Police recover car belonging to slain professor
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says it's recovered the car belonging to a Northeastern State University professor found dead in her home in Tahlequah.
OSBI says 40-year-old Tiffany Rene Maher was found dead in her home last week. Her car, a red 2011 Ford Fiesta, was missing and authorities sent out a description of the vehicle to local media. Authorities say a Tulsa man saw the car on television news and called police.
OSBI says the car was recovered at the Stone Haven Villas apartment complex in Tulsa on Monday.
Authorities have not yet released the woman's name. An official cause of death is pending, but authorities say they're investigating the case as a homicide.
No arrests have been made.
