TULSA (KFAQ) - Downtown Tulsa street signs were changed to names of well-known Beatles and Paul McCartney songs as part of a celebration of Paul McCartney's performances at the BOK Center.
McCartney performed to a sold-out crowd on Wednesday night, in the first of two nights of peformances.
McCartney performed songs from the Beatles and Wings, as well as some newer songs to a crowd that spanned several generations.
During the performance he dedicated "Let it Be" to the victims of last week's Oklahoma storms and later carried a large Oklahoma flag onto the stage during one of two encores.
McCartney performed for more than 2 and a half hours before telling the crowd they had come to the time where both he and they needed to leave. After the long performance, McCartney waived to the crowd and said, "see you next time."
McCartney's performance was part of the BOK Center's fifth anniversary celebration.
