Carlos Santana reunited with homeless former bandmate
It is a musical reunion like no other.
Carlos Santana recently met up with a former bandmate who had fallen on hard times and ended up homeless.
It all started when the homeless man, Marcus Malone, was being interviewed by a reporter from a San Francisco television station. He told the reporter that he used to play in Santana's band.
After months of hard work, not only did the reporter confirm the story but he was also able to arrange a reunion between Santana and Malone.
Carlos Santana says he wants to offer Marcus Malone an apartment, clothes and whatever else he needs to get off the streets.
Malone played the congas on Santana's first album, but left the band in 1969 shortly before it performed at Woodstock.
Santana is well known for his generosity and supports several organizations like Amnesty International, Save The Children and Build The Dream.
Santana also says he wants to bring the original Santa Blues Band members, including Malone, back together to make new music.
