CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Often times a president's words can get them in hot water however this time one of President Obama's latest criticisms isn't for putting his foot in his mouth but where he put his foot all together.
The photo of the president on the phone with house speaker John Boehner has some up in arms not because of the conversation they were having about Syria but because of the president's foot placement.
"It's offensive," says one viewer.
Offensive because he has his foot on the desk, the desk in the oval office that was a gift from the queen of England in 1880.
Hundreds in Southwest Florida taking to Facebook to slam the president for his manners on an antique desk.
Kathe wrote, "Get your foot off my desk!!! That desk (and the whole white house) belongs to the American people, he just gets to use it while he is in office."
Karen posted, "It just shows his lack of respect..."
Heather thought, "I don't care who it is .. nobody should disrespect any part of the white house and that includes the resolute desk. Could you imagine Queen Elizabeth propping her feet on hers?"
Anita said, "He is not the first to put his feet on this desk. Ford, Bush and others. It's a desk!!!"
Amy added, "He's still human."
Nilsa not bothered by the photo writing, "We have so many issues in our country that need to be taken care off. Who cares if he has his foot on the table."
The White House published the picture.
