CAPE CORAL - We will be watching the tropics with an extra finely tuned eye for the rest of the week for several reasons.
Historically, the next 30 days or so are the most active of the Atlantic Hurricane Season.
We will also be watching two areas of low pressure that may become interesting.
One wave that came off the coast of Africa shows potential for development, as dry air is subsiding, and upper level winds will get lighter.
The second, and more interesting for Southwest Florida, is an area of low pressure in the Caribbean, which may get more organized, and could be pulled closer to Florida.
The chances of this being a significant system are low, but it appears that our rain chances will go up significantly for Thursday and Friday.
