Tracking the Tropics: Possibilities
FOX 4 Storm Patrol
CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A little closer to home, an upper-level low pressure area and a weak surface trough has been given just a ten percent chance of development over the Florida Straits.
Since surface pressures ahead of the disturbance are high, no significant development is forecast as it continues to drift north over the next few days.
A tropical wave southwest of the Cape Verde Islands, just off the coast of Africa, has been given a 30 percent chance of further development is it continues to move westward.
We will continue to watch this wave, still more than 3,000 miles from home.
