Wants to Know: Did taxpayer money pay for Cape Coral neighborhood turn lanes
CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Royal Tee Country Club has a new turn lane and gate to get into the neighborhood from Veterans Memorial Parkway.
But some residents who don't live there have concerns.
"The public can't go in, so should the tax payers be paying for the road work to accompany that," resident Becky Read asked.
So Fox 4 went to find out who paid for the project. We reached out to the Florida Department of Transportation, but they told us since Veterans Memorial Parkway is a county road, it's not their territory.
That led us to Dan Weigand. Weigand lives at Royal Tee and was the project manager for the new gate and turn lane.
