Keith Allen Wilson
FORT MYERS, Fla. - A charge of 2nd degree murder has been brought against Keith Allen Wilson in the 1999 killing of four-year-old Pilar Rodriguez in Charlotte County.
The indictment states that the 42-year-old Wilson by an act imminently dangerous to another, and evincing a depraved mind regardless of human life, kill and murder Pilar Rodriguez, a human being, by inflicting blunt force trauma.
Wilson was arrested in July by police in Kentucky.
Rodriguez was last seen with Harding-Jones and then boyfriend Wilson, in February of 1999.
Marco Rodriguez, the girl’s father, filed a missing persons report and early leads indicated that Pilar’s disappearance may have been the result of foul play.
Detectives working on the cold case reviewed evidence and conducted additional interviews that led to the arrest of Harding-Jones in 2010.
It would take a grand jury to bring a 1st degree murder charge against Wilson. Whether that happens remains to be seen.
