Stolen trailer recovered in Charlotte County
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Charlotte County deputies recovered one of two trailers stolen between Sunday and Monday.
On Monday investigators found out that a 53 foot long Fontaine Hydraulic low-boy trailer had been stolen from a fenced lot on Enterprise Drive. There was no tag on the low-boy, but it had “TH55” in white lettering on the front.
Later it was determined that a burgundy 2003 Kenworth sleeper semi-truck with yellow lettering that said “Degeriane Transport” pulling a refrigerated had been stolen from the Murdock Industrial Park area.
Video from the initial theft site showed that the Kenworth bad been used to steel the low-boy trailer.on it.
Tuesday afternoon a deputy found the stolen 43 foot white refrigerated trailer in the area of Dexter Street and Abbott Avenue, only a few blocks away from where it had been originally parked. The truck that had been taken with the refrigerated trailer and the hydraulic low-boy trailer were still missing.
