Several Charlotte County roads under water

CHARLOTTE COUNTY - Due to the severe weather conditions Southwest Florida has been experiencing, there are many roads that may be under water.
Below are some of the streets that currently have high water. Please note this list is subject to change with conditions.
Port Charlotte Area
West Tarpon near Ambrose
Placida Road between Gaspar and Cape Haze (signs are out)
Cape Haze at Homestead to Boundary Blvd. (signs are out)
Punta Gorda Area
Disston and Duncan Road
Duncan Road at South Washington Loop Road (signs are out)
Duncan at Cleveland
Punta Gorda Fire Department has reported that several streets in the downtown area have been restricted to local traffic or are closed entirely. Residents are being asked to stay off the roads within the city.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid driving through flooded streets as they might not be able to correctly judge the depth of the water or see hazards that are underwater.
