Search resumes in decades old missing man case
FOX 4 Staff
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - The search resumed Friday morning for evidence surrounding the disappearance of Terrance Beghin. The discovery of Beghin's vehicle Thursday morning in a canal off Rampart Boulevard is the first break in a disappearance stemming back to 1986.
The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office says the initial reports from 1986 indicated that Beghin disappeared under suspicious circumstances and foul play was suspected. The reasoning for that seems to have been that he apparently spoke with his roommate at the time and told him he would pick him up but never showed up.
He apparently left all his belongings behind, including medication. Even though CCSO, other agencies, family and friends looked for him, there was no sign of him or his vehicle. The conclusion at that time was that those were suspicious circumstances.
