FORT MYERS, Fla. - Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking the public to help identify a credit card carrying criminal who used stolen plastic to make purchases at two area stores.
Detectives say the victim left her passenger side door unlocked last Sunday morning and saw that a credit card left inside her jacket had been stolen. When she called her credit card company to cancel it she was told the card had been used at least twice since she last saw it.
Charges were made at a 7/Eleven on Victoria Avenue in Fort Myers shortly before 5 a.m., then again at the Marathon Gas station on Mission Drive. Surveillance cameras caught the image of a black male, in his mid 20's or 30's using the stolen card in Dunbar. He is between 5'7" and 5'8" and was driving a 2002-2005 blue Hyundai with stock wheels and a satellite antenna.
Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of this suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
