PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Charlotte County Sheriff's investigators are trying to identify a man who used a fraudulent credit card on July 3 to buy liquor at a Charlotte Harbor business.
Pictures released show a Black male trying to use a VISA credit card to purchase four bottles of liquor from ABC Liquors at 4250 Tamiami Trail. When the man swiped the card a message came back to the clerk telling him to hold the card.
The suspect provided the clerk with an out of state ID in the same name as the credit card. The clerk told the man to get cash. The suspect went to his vehicle and never returned.
The man is described as about 6' 5" tall, weighing about 160 pounds. He had short hair and a goatee. He was wearing a white shirt, red pants and a red hat. He left in a dark grey pickup with an unknown tag.
