Rotonda man charged with drug possession

PORT CHARLOTTE - Charlotte County Sheriff's Deputies have charged a Rotonda man with drug posession and other charges after they say he used a credit card stolen in a vehicle burglary.
According to deputies, on Tuesday a man reported that someone had entered his unlocked car and taken a debit card, checkbook and other personal property.
During the investigation detectives obtained surveillance video of a man using the stolen card at a gas station.
Deputies arrested 33-year-old Michael Lambert on Thursday after the vehicle from the surveillance video was seen.
During the vehicle stop deputies found methamphetamine in the vehicle and also discovered Lambert was driving on a suspended license.
During a search of the vehicle deputies also recovered the victims stolen debit card.
Lambert was charged with criminal use of personal identification, petit theft, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphanaeli and driving on a suspended license.
He is currently being held without bail at the Charlotte County Jail.
