North Port men arrested on burglary charges
Port Charlotte, Fla. - Two North Port men are in jail on burglary and theft charges after a woman saw men in black clothing and what looked like ski masks enter her Port Charlotte home Thursday afternoon.
The victim told deputies when she arrived at her home, she saw men wearing all black clothing and what looked like ski masks over their faces behind her house.
They had gotten out of a white Ford Crown Victoria with black rims. She noticed that one of the men was carrying what appeared to be a rifle.
While the victim called for help, she saw the men leaving the home carrying several items with them.
They all got back into the vehicle and left the area headed toward Beacon Drive.
A joint effort with North Port Police Department helped to arrest 18-year-old Charles Kuntz of North Port.
Kuntz, was charged with burglary of a dwelling while armed and grand theft. He was transported to the Charlotte County Jail where he is being held on $27,500 bond.
North Port Police arrested a second suspect, Jalen Bell in North Port.
Bell, 19, was also charged with burglary and grand theft.
