NORTH FT. MYERS, Fla. - Last week Lee County declared a state of emergency for four private roads that were in desperate need of help after the major flooding we have seen. But those roads that didn't make the list are still underwater, and neighbors say they need help.
"Everyone else seems to be getting assistance, but why not Golden Road," April Hoskins asked.
Hoskins has to put her rain boots on if she wants to go outside her home on Golden Road. She said her car won't start from driving through all the water and now she has an even bigger problem.
"I lost my job because I can't get out of here," Hoskins said.
Although Lee County told Fox 4 last week Golden Road was "passable," neighbors said an ambulance had a tricky time getting through on Friday night.
