FORT MYERS, Fla. - Lee County Port Authority Police arrested a Naples man for trying to bring a gun through security at Southwest Florida International Airport.

41-year-old Kurt Lutgert faces a charge of carrying a concealed firearm.

The TSA stopped Lutgert as he was passing through the screening checkpoint after spotting a firearm in his backpack as it passed through the X-Ray machine.

The report says Lutgert told the TSA that he had forgotten about the gun and that he didn't see any of the signs that outline prohibited items.
