NAPLES, Fla. - A Winter Park man was arrested Sunday at a Naples motel for indecent exposure and other charges.
The incident started with a response to a fire alarm at the Bayfront Inn at 1221 5th Avenue South.
When law enforcement arrived the housekeeping manager alerted a sergeant to a man who appeared intoxicated and acting strangely.
As they were speaking 30-year-old Mathew Sims arrived in the lobby wearing only a pool towel around his waist. According to the arrest report, Sims began yelling that he was naked under the towel and didn't know what to do.
Another housekeeper said that she had encountered Sims on the 3rd floor, pushed his way past her and that he had dropped his towel exposing himself to her. He dropped his towel again when the fire alarm sounded and employees came to his room to ask him to vacate.
Inside his room law enforcement found a partially smoked marijuana cigarette.
Sims was charged with two counts of indecent exposure, one count of battery and possession of marijuana.
