Meth lab bust in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Cape Coral police made two arrests following a meth lab bust Wednesday.
Vice and narcotics detectives learned of a meth lab operationi in the 700 block of SE 4th Terrace.
A search warrant was executied and police found paraphernalia and chemicals used to make meth to include 3.1 pounds of "meth oil."
Police arrested 32-year-old Darren Fretwell with possession of a structure for trafficking in or manufacturing a controlled substance with a minor present and child neglect.
Also arrested was his sister, 31-year-old Michelle Fretwell. She was charged with child neglect due to the fact that she was aware of her brother cooking methamphetamine while making no attempt to remove her children to a safe place.
DCF was notified and the children were taken into protective custody. CCFD HAZMAT responded and the location was decontaminated and made safe.
