MIAMI, Fla. - Family friends and supporters from LaBelle traveled to Miami to say goodbye to the 12-year-old boy infected with a rare and deadly illness.
The family announced that Zac was said to be brain-dead by doctors Saturday.
According to the 'Pray 4 Number 4' Facebook page, Zac's body remains on life support as the family plans to donate the boy's organs.
The family invited friends and supporters to travel to the Miami Children's Hospital where Zac was being treated to pay their final respects.
Fox 4's Julian Glover spoke to one woman who says she didn't know the Reyna family personally, but felt the urge to show her support to the family.
"They've been in our prayers for the past few weeks since this has been going on and it's been a huge thing," said the LaBelle woman, "and they continue to be in our prayers because they need it now more than ever."
