Low pressure moves over Florida
Low pressure will have an impact on Southwest Florida Friday and through the weekend, but this system is not tropical in nature.
The National Hurricane Center will keep a close eye on it through the weekend.
It will pass south of Florida Friday, increasing our rain chances a bit, but right now it is more of an upper level low pressure system.
By the weekend, however, it will be in the warm Gulf of Mexico, where wind shear will be light, and the low may start to take on a few tropical qualities as it moves away from Florida and into the Central Gulf of Mexico.
By the weekend, Southwest Florida will likely see some drier air moving in, on the backside of this low pressure system.
