Lehigh Acres men arrested for credit card fraud

SARASOTA, Fla. - Sarasota County deputies arrested two Lehigh Acres men for attempting to commit fraud at several Sarasota area stores using dozens of cloned credit cards.
35-year-old Alfredo Torrella and 40-year-old Orlando Rodriguez were arrested Friday night after they tried to purchase a Home Depot gift card with several credit cards that were all declined.
During a search of their rental vehical deputies found 120 counterfeit credit cards, personal information for 29 different victims and a fake driver's license.
The suspects told investigators they purchased the cards and information from someone in the Miami area for $4,500. It appears deputies stopped their crime spree shortly after it began.
Torrella is charges with 29 counts of possession of personal identification with intent to use, two counts of criminal use of personal identification and one count of trafficking in fraudulent credit cards.
Rodriguez is charged with three counts of criminal use of personal identification, one count of trafficking in fraudulent credit cards, possession of a counterfeit driver’s license, tampering with evidence and obstruction.
