Gun waving bar patron arrested in Fort Myers Shores

FORT MYERS SHORE, Fla. - Bad behavior by a customer at the Fort Myers Shores Bar and Grill resulted in a trip to the Lee County Jail.
44-year-old Allan Joseph Foubister, Jr. faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, carrying a concealed weapon and DUI.
The incident started just before midnight Monday when the bartender told Foubister to leave the bar because he was disturbing the other customers.
When one employee looked out the door to watch Foubister get into his SUV, the employee told investigators Foubister pulled out a handgun and pointed at him while threatening him.
A patron went out to make sure Foubister didn't his his vehicle as he exited the parking lot. He told a deputy that Foubister pointed a gun at him as well.
Deputies arrived on the scene and stopped the suspect at Palm Beach Boulevard and Davis Boulevard.
A handgun was spotted in the vehicle and Foubister failed a field sobriety checkpoint. Three witnesses identified Foubister as the man at the bar with a gun.
