Gov. wants to see tourist increase
ORLANDO - Governor Scott is encouraging state tourism leaders to set a goal of reaching 100 million tourists for next year.
This comes on the first day of the 46th Annual Florida Governors Conference on Tourism.
Scott says that the plan is feasible since 90 million people visited the Sunshine State last year. Tourism leaders are optimistic as well since Florida visitors spent a record $72 billion last year, which is almost a 7 percent increase.
