Fort Myers standoff ends peacefully

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers police arrested a 24-year-old man at the center of a standoff in the 2100 block of Walker Street Thursday night.
Police received a call at 6:18 p.m. about a domestic disturbance at a home there. When police arrive several people inside the home involved the altercation came out to talk with officers.
The suspect, Christopher Walker, stayed inside, armed with a shotgun. Police setup a perimeter and called in the SWAT team and Critical Incident Negotiations Team.
Walker surrendered peacefully after 45 minutes. He had an open warrant for failing to appear to a trial.
