Fort Myers bank robbed

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers police are looking for a man who held up the Bank of America this morning at 1511 Matthew Drive.

The robbery happened just before 10 a.m.  An intense manhunt which included an assist from the Lee County Sheriff's Office helicopter followed by so far the suspect remains at large.

Witnesses say a man entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money.  He then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.  No one was hurt.

The suspect fled in a car waiting on the west side of the parking lot.  It is described as a late 90's beige sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry or Corolla.

The driver is described as a white female with light brown hair pulled back in a ponytail.
