Fort Myers police arrest bank robbery suspect
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers police have arrested a suspect involved with last week's bank robbery of the Bank of America on Winkler Avenue.
25-year-old Xavier Diggs is in custody for his involvement in a bank robbery that happened last Wednesday.
Police say Diggs and another man entered the Bank of America Wednesday morning. The two were disguised as women and handed the teller a note demanding money.
They fled the scene in a newer model, Ford, F-150 pickup truck with an undisclosed amount of cash. The investigation will continue until the second suspect is taken into custody.
FMPD continues to go after those involved in the recent bank robberies until they are caught.
