Former Lee deputy arrested for shop lifting, again
ESTERO, Fla. - A former Lee County deputy, fired in 2005 for a graphic video tape, was arrested yet again for shoplifting.
Gina Wiseley was arrested at the Target Store in the Coconut Point. Wiseley was accused of stealing a small speaker set and two digital cameras last Friday. The merchandise had a value of almost $550. She's charged with grand theft.
Wiseley was arrested and charged with grand theft on Tuesday June 25, 2013 for stealing an iPad from the WalMart in Cape Coral.
Wiseley was part of a high profile internal investigation by the Lee County Sheriff's Office. She had initially been fired by former Sheriff Rod Shoap for hitting golf balls in her office. A lawsuit prompted Sheriff Mike Scott to hire her back.
Then a videotape emerged showing Wiseley at the 2001 Fantasy Fest in Key West dancing and touching herself. A controversy erupted about whether or not leadership at the Sheriff's Office knew about the tape when Wiseley was rehired.
