Deputies search for Lehigh Acres hit and run driver

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - Lee County deputies are searching for a driver responsible for a hit and run crash that left three people with serious injuries Saturday in Lehigh Acres.

The crash happened at about 8:27 p.m. at Lee Boulevard and Sunshine Boulevard.

Two vehicles were traveling north on Sunshine Boulevard.  A vehicle traveling south jumped the center median and side swiped one vehicle and then hit a second vehicle was hit head-on.

The driver at fault fled the scene on foot after crashing his vehicle into a tree.

Deputies are asking that anyone who may have witnessed, knows the driver that fled the scene or knows anything about this hit and run to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at (239) 477-100 or to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000, call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
