Crime Stoppers tip leads to Fort Myers drug bust
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers police busted a drug house Friday in the 1700 block of N. Palmdale Court.
A search warrant was issued after a two month investigation that began with a Crime Stoppers’ tip stating someone from the residence was selling marijuana. Detectives conducted an undercover operation that led to the arrest of 25-year-old Eugene Wade of Fort Myers.
Wade was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a driver's license.
Police seized the following evidence in the home:
136.5 grams of marijuana, street value of $1,100.00
One Smith and Wesson .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun
Packaging materials and scales used for street distribution of the drugs
$658.00 dollars of United States currency as evidence to the intent to sell charge
