FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A police chase that started in Collier County has ended with three subjects in custody in Broward County.
The dramatic pursuit started on eastbound Alligator Alley just before 11 a.m. Tuesday. Broward Sheriff's Office Deputies were pursuing the vehicle after an alleged home invasion robbery in Collier County.
All BSO units briefly called off the chase as the vehicle drove at a high rate of speed onto Interstate 595. 7 Skyforce HD continued to follow the vehicle as it crossed into Davie and then Fort Lauderdale.
Police agencies caught up with the vehicle in a residential neighborhood where the three subjects ended up bailing out near 33rd Way and Northwest Eighth Court.
The trio tried to flee from police by running through the backyards of several homes and jumping over fences but officers were hot on their tails and caught all three.
