CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- The Cape Coral city council shot down a resolution in support of the constitutional right to bear arms for the second time Monday night.
Council members voted 5-3 against a motion to reconsider resolution 16-13, which district 4's Richard Leon unsuccessfully introduced the week before in support of the 2nd amendment. Although most agree the resolution was symbolic, they also say it was no less meaningful. Council rules prevent the resolution, in its current form, from being reconsidered.
