Cape Coral man fined for speeding in manatee zone

FORT MYERS, Fla. - A Cape Coral man was fined $4,000 Tuesday for operating a vessel at 55 miles per hour in a posted and marked 25 mile per house manatee protection zone.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Douglas Frazier sentenced 52-year-old Juergen Kreuzer for violating the speed zone on the Caloosahatchee River near Shell Point.
According to court documents, Kruezer has seven prior convictions for manatee speed zone violations. He operates All Around Boats, a business that is engaged in boat rentals along with fishing and boat tours.
