FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Lee County State Attorney's office will not be filing charges against former Lee County Commissioner Brian Bigelow.
Bigelow was charged with grand theft in connection with a shoplifting incident at a Fort Myers K-Mart last month.
The state says there is insufficient evidence to charge Bigelow.
Brian Bigelow served as District 2 commissioner for six years before resigning in May of last year.
