Bald eagle released in Charlotte County

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. - An American Bald Eagle found last January in Charlotte County after being shocked and burned by an electrical wire has been released back into the wild.
The bird, dubbed Phoenix, was taken in by the Peace River Wildlife Center, where the bird recuperated. The bird suffered burns to most of the right side of his body.
The bird was released Wednesday back into the wild after seven months of rehabilitation.
