Adoption agency targets gay couples

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A Rockford, Illinois adoption agency is targeting same sex couples to adopt. Children's Home and Aid says it's holding a seminar next month to show them adoption is an option.
The agency says that gay partners typically shy away from adoption because they think the process is much harder for a gay couple but according to the owner of the adoption agency, societies views are changing in favor of the gay community.
"It's really not anymore difficult going through the process as it would be for a traditional heterosexual couple. Most of the steps pretty much are all the same," said Jennifer Mitchell.
Mitchell says same sex couples will be treated fairly throughout the adoption process.
