BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.- Hundreds of new jobs are coming to Southwest Florida courtesy of a new retirement community.
Retired Doctor Bernard Feldman is one of the newest residents at The Terraces in Bonita Springs, a new community that caters to adults 62+.
"Fine place to retire. We have relatives on both the east and west coast," said Feldman.
The Terraces at Bonita Springs offers luxury living. Feldman says places like these are very much needed. The community just opened in July.
"We came to The Terraces because, in my experience, it's the wave of the future. Many people are going to need assisted living and if not assisted living at least some nursing care at some point in their lives. We're all living longer," said Feldman.
The $70 million dollar project will bring a total of 200 jobs to the area, according to its Executive Director Ross Dickmann. 65 people are already on board.
