4 arrested in North Port meth bust

NORTH PORT, Fla. - A meth bust Monday night in North Port ended with the arrests of four people. 

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office working in conjunction with North Port police executed a search warrant last night in the 4500 block of Rios Street.

The Sarasota County Fire Department Haz Mat team made sure the residence was safe and once inside detectives found a large container with chemicals and other items used to make meth.

Detectives seized a total of 228 grams of methamphetamine.

31-year-old Jason works is charged with manufacturing of meth, possession of meth, trafficking in meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of listed chemicals.

26-year-old Jessica Grote and 23-year-old Alycia Hatfield are both charged with trafficking in meth and possession of listed chemicals.
