2nd arrest made in Collier pot operation

NAPLES, Fla. - A second suspect in a Collier County marijuana grow operation turned himself into the jail on Monday.
33-year-old Alexey Rivero-Perez is charged with marijuana trafficking and possession of drug.
Two months ago his 37-year-old Aramis Rivero-Perez was arrested and charged marijuana trafficking, obstructing justice and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with the same grow operation.
On May 29th a search warrant uncovered a grow house at 4019 22nd Avenue N.E. Detectives found a metal structure that had been recently taken down and the strong smell of marijuana. They also found equipment and other items used to grow pot.
Detectives found dirt behind the structure had been disturbed and proceeded to dig the area up. They found 81 marijuana plants buried there along with grow equipment. The marijuana had a value of $243,000.
