NAPLES, Fla. - Naples Pier was littered with volunteers ready to take on the trash scattered around the beach.
It's all apart of the annual International Coastal Cleanup and Keep Collier Beautiful made sure Naples residents did their part.
"Our goal here with Keep Collier Beautiful is to be grassroots and keep our residents engaged and passionate in keeping our community clean then we can be apart of this greater goal of keeping the entire world clean and picking up trash and debris," Cyndee Woolley said.
Joanne Jeffreys and her son, TJ, volunteered with dozens of others from TJ's school, St. Anne's.
"Naples is so beautiful and we love to come here and use it all the time so I think it's important for children especially to give back something and show respect for the community," Jeffreys said.
Girl Scout Troup 371 came out to help for the third year in a row.
"It's great to help the environment and make sure everything is safe and healthy and nice and clean, 5th grader Sisi Tyrrell said.
Other volunteers found beer bottles, frisbees, a beach chair and even a pair of underwear.
